With over fifteen years of practical experience in pharmaceutical science and global health research, including Global Health speaking engagements at academic-leadership conferences including Yale, Harvard, and National University of Singapore, Ms. Kois helps clients protect their innovations, profit from their assets, and solve their most complex and challenging problems.

 

Before joining the firm, Ms. Kois worked as pharmaceutical chemist, a global health researcher, and, most recently, an in-house transactional attorney for PPD (a Thermo-Fisher affiliate) where she was responsible for drafting, negotiating, and handling all aspects of PPD’s service agreements with biotech and biopharma corporations. She has comprehensive knowledge of drug development requirements and industry expectations for pre-clinical, Phase I-IV, laboratory, peri- and post-approval pharmacovigilance, and patient recruitment services which enables her to quickly identify legal risks and provide strategic solutions to her clients.

 

At Casimir Jones, Ms. Kois provides clients with transactional advice and counsel to support drug and device development and assists with preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the U.S. and foreign countries, patentability assessments, and freedom to operate and patent infringement opinions. She specializes in technology areas including antibodies, biologics, immunoassays, gene therapy, enzymatic assays, biomedical devices, chemicals, and diagnostic and treatment methods.
